The cocktails were of exceptional quality and their prices are reasonable. Happy hour was an unexpected delight for us and the cocktails we would have ordered were at half price. The biggest issue we had was with the outdoor seating. On each table were vanilla scented candles over coffee beans, why you might ask? Well because there seems to be a sewage leak near by and every time someone flushes the toilet in the venue those sitting outside will be subjected to a blast of raw sewerage smell engulfing their every being. It was incredibly off putting.
What a lovely little place! It is a small place indeed (maybe just a bit smaller than I expected), but it has all u need! Gin tasting plates with worldwide Gin, 'fever tree' tonic water and an array of gin condiments to match our gin! Yummy grazing board, with a jalapeno dip that was awesome! The place is quirky yet classy and the service is most definitely with a smile! Thanku Howling Owl ????????
Recently had my birthday party there and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and Venue. Everyone commented on how good the place was. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure all the guests were looked after. I would absolutely recommend anyone thinking of having a function to go to the Howling Owl, you won't be disappointed.
The Howling Owl has moved and unfortunately the new premises don't quite have the ambience as the old premises - it's not quite as cosy. However, still the same great selection of gins. I organised to hire the upstairs venue space of the Howling Owl for a launch night on behalf of an NGO that I work with and Rachel, Mick and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with. They were so supportive and the upstairs space was beautiful and sophisticated to host in, I can't recommend it highly enough!
One of my favourite coffee around. Sadly, they only offer one size. Happy that they open till late on Fridays and Saturdays so we could still enjoy a good cuppa in the evening.
Staff always friendly. Excellent coffee and delicious cakes and sweet. Cute decor and always worth a stroll through shop next door. Need to stop by for a Gin one day.
