Not the same. Cole slaw definitely was different, so much mayo in it. Menu has changed, to be expected. Prices went way up. The service needs help, more staffing. Our waitress did the best she could and she was attentive for the most part, but everything was sooooo slow. Drinks took way too long. Kitchen got backed up , so we waited. And waited. Comped drinks or something may have been nice. Atmosphere is a bit cold, more modern. We will not be rushing back, if at all. Do not go in thinking it 's anything like the Iron Horse once was.
This is a magnificent restaurant, and it’s only going to continue prospering. Would absolutely suggest the iron horse if you’d love a fresh warm meal with a beverage, a relaxing weekend at the bar area, and the deserts are spectacular. Bring your children along to enjoy, the menu also shifts as more things are being included. Will definitely be visiting again.
Restaurant looks great, service was outstanding- shout out to Mariella! While our burgers were good we had no idea that brunch was being served- no mention of brunch or brunch menu online. Please update your website. Looking forward to coming back! Big thank you to Sean A who was very accommodating.
The horse has left the barn. What once was a staple in downtown Westwood, has been bougeed up. The only thing left is the Tavern Burger “with the cheese inside”. I guess this is the sign of the times first the fireplace in Paramus, bischoff’s in Teaneck and now the iron horse.

I want to give a special mention to the new owners! The Fish and Chips were excellent, as well as the Lamb shank. The waitress in the bar last night (2/6/24) was also excellent. I hope that they light the fireplace on cold days. Wishing them all the best.
My husband and I just left the Iron Horse. All I could say is it was fantastic. Our server Liam could not have been more attentive and polite. Every member of the new staff greeted us and made us feel like royalty. We will definitely be returning soon..,,
I had heard about this restaurant for years and when I saw the brunch sign, I had to try it out. I absolutely love brunch and theirs did not disappoint! The food was amazing and I was grateful that the atmosphere was quiet and low key.
I absolutely love the iron horse pub, their food and drinks are amazing!! Caleigh is very attentive, and an amazing server with a great personality. I will always visit when I’m in town for the good vibes :

Lauren and Michael, the bartenders, were extremely friendly and attentive. The service was excellent.
