Good Sushi, not great. Service was pretty horrible. Freezing cold inside, temps set for staff not customers. Ordered Asahi super dry. Food runner brought Sapporo draft then proceeded to tell me they didn’t sell Asahi. Asked him to send waiter over, got the Asahi shortly after. Ordered yellowtail collar, it never came over the course of a 2 hour dinner spent primarily waiting for our waiter to show up again. Had to take it off bill. Try fansea in North Manhattan, much better service and food. One of our favorite sushi spots! The food is amazing, make sure to try the famous Katsu-Ya crispy rice. The service is always good. The location is great and I think beats anything in the area at the price point. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area, but be ready for a pretty long wait if you don’t have reservations. One of my fav sushi spots in the South Bay. Quality fish, always fresh, reasonable prices, around the corner from the beach. What’s not to love? Don’t sleep on the baked crab hand roll. Our favorite sushi spot in town and love coming with our kid. Kids meal is adorable and the price point for the basic sushi rolls keep us coming back. We’ve had omakase a few times and was very pleased with the quality and variety. The shishito pepper and Brussel sprout apps are our go-to’s. Highly recommend but good luck with the wait! Nice restaurant with very fresh Japanese sushi. It's a bit pricy for what you get. I'd rather go across the street to sugar fish. Fusion sushi is also another option although it's not traditional and less quality but it's a lot less pricy. I came for lunch, i ordered Yellowtail sashimi and their lunch special "Chirashi '. The Chirashi came with full of toppings ; salmon, tuna, yellowtail, grilled eel, shrimp, shellfish and egg. It 's totally worth the value. And the yellowtail sashimi is excellent. I surely will come back when I visit LA again.
