So am currently waiting for food smells good BUT tables all around COVERED With dirty plates cups glasses no wait staff cleaning up no curtains or blinds on the large glass windows means every car parking blinds us as we wait. No lighting in lower half of restaurant either so it's gloomy on one side and clinical on the other! On arrival we saw a sign asking us to wait for a table but no one came so we wandered and found our own. Not clear that we have to order at the counter so we sat and Waited.. staff have no idea about service but are sweet. A lot could be improved here.. basic management like restaurant section allocation for staff so that they aren't all over the same part of the room!...
I visited Kauphy Place last night for dinner with a business friend. It was simply amazing, awesome and delicious meal. We had share Masala Dosa, Goat curry and Roti for the main course. All were cooked in an authentic manner. We ordered Chicken 65 for entree and it was simply great. The dessert bar is the highlight of the place.Service was always great at Kauphy Place and the owner Mr Prashanth Reddy comes to your table with a smile and enquire about the food quality and service.Subbu is another smiling man who greets you with and offers a helping hand.After the recent addition of function hall- this place is a great meeting point for corporate and individual functions.Overall, a great expe...
I gave a take away order. There were four wait people. The girl who took my order put it with the other orders inside and it was forgotten. I waited patiently -the poor girl was taking phone orders and trying to manage as the boy who I think was supposed to be on drinks did nothing to help her. I finally got really frustrated waiting and asked the waitress who came out. They then discovered my order and gave me the goat biryani from the bay marie which turned out to be very dry and hardly three bits of goat meat for $16.50. Having been to the Kauphy Place before they expanded I mast say the service has gone down terribly -I for one won't be going back.
Going for a fusion theme, The Kauphy Place is cafe meets Indian restaurant. The dessert bar highlights this the most, with glazed doughnuts and vanilla slices sitting alongside mysore paks, laddus, and lassis. The menu looked inviting, but, the food did not rise to the occasion. While not the worst we have eaten, we are not in a hurry to return.Kudos for using authentic, full-bodied flavours, rather than the usual mild blends that all generic Indian restaurants in Australia utilise. However, this might speak better to an Indian crowd, as it is not the taste most people are expecting.

We went for authentic Indian food which we got. The taste was good (we had naan and butter chicken) However the service is quite poor,with the waiter rudely saying,"I know,it is coming" when we just raised our hand to ask about the delay (we didn't even open our mouth to ask,before that the waiter impatiently answered!) Felt a little taken aback, as in Australia we have experienced extremely polite service at the most casual of places! I think most people who have reviewed have been put off by the service so it would be good to work on that to bring in more customers.
The customer service is terrible. We Ordered lamb Biriyani and chicken Biriyani. The chicken was ok. The lamb Biriyani was terrible. It was dry and no flavour. It was complaint to staff and was asked not to serve the second lamb Biriyani and serve a chicken Biriyani instead. The staff refused and another terrible lamb Biriyani was served. Is this what you call customer service? Perhaps they should learn a bit of it before doing a business in Australia. Please avoid this place.
The Staff here is very friendly, cheerful. Kauphy place has the most affordable rates and the quality of South Indian food - Idli, Vada, Sambhar, Dosas, Uttapams is authentic.
Attended here with my Dad for lunch. The Dosa was huge just like the picture. Only one needed here to fill the tummy gap. Real test is always, will I go back? Definitely Yes.

Service was great, just took a long time to get my take away coffee despite the shop being empty. But coffee tasted alright. Nothing to rave about. Didn't try any food
Been here twice. The tosai and chapati is commendable. The local coffee and biryani was average. Quite a busy place.
