Amazing cat....amateur tech antics. (Note that this isn't anything against the hospo staff, just the guy running the footy! Been watching the euros in the city and had a great time so far (and not had to pay entry . Came to King's Arms and paid entry to watch the footy for the tech guy to mess up countless times on streaming, out of sync sound, switching streaming platforms whilst watching and the nail in the coffin was he decided he had enough and turned it off straight after it finished when people hadn't finished watching and didn't give a damn about it. I'll come back for a drink and the cat but won't be back for any productions again!
We came in with a fringe theatre show and it is a lovely little theatre upstairs and the pub itself has a great outside space as well as a great ambience. However, the theatre is not very well signposted and neither are the loos. The theatre is a small fringe venue so I understand that there are budget issues, but to keep up with other venues, could do with a better lighting desk. But it is a beautiful space and the technician is lovely and so willing to help!
An excellent pub, which we 've only come here for drinks. Been a few times, and it 's always such a great bohemian and friendly atmosphere. Happily can waste a night here playing some of the supplied board games or friendly chatting. Good range of beers/cider and the staff always friendly and helpful. Brighde Chambeul was fantastic, as was the draught beer and the bar staff. The gig could have been better organized, with some issues in timings and communication on the night. I had my birthday party at this restaurant for free! The staff were wonderful and the drinks were flowing (not free drinks though, LOL). The rooms are soundproof so you can have as much music as you want. Everyone had a relaxed vibe. Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5
