Amazed at how good the food is here despite a rather bland interior. Same could not be said about the waiter/ owner who appeared so aloof. Appeared critical when I attempted to order cottage pie instead of shepherds pie or vice verse and then became stroppy when I asked for San Pellegrino as I just wanted to have sparking water whereas he was stating the flavours which weren’t indicated on the menu. When we asked to see the dessert menu he refused and said he would tell us what was on offer. Perhaps he was just trying to be funny/ friendly but it hardly made us feel welcome. Pity because with good service this would be a 5 star rating.
Tried these guys after reports of good breakfasts. BUT everything we ordered for delivery was horrid. No worse … disgusting. A simple pasta dish came still frozen in the middle. The supposedly home cooked lasagne a real cold mess. My wife ordered fish … a big mistake it was off and stunk the house out for ages tasted a bit like ammonia. And the fish finger sandwich so poor ! Rubbish bread and cheapest fish fingers .. a joke. Everything we had was horrid. Never again. What a SHAME
We came here for my mum's 73rd birthday and had a fantastic time. The food was wonderful, we had 3 courses and it is such a great price. There were 6 adults and 3 children and the children are always welcomed. We were looked after from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff. We love coming to The Kitchen and would highly recommend you visit. Thank you so much
Went in for lunch with my wife and the greeting was very warm and welcoming, the owner is very informative and has a great personality, the food was very tasty and the service was exceptional!! I must say a great place to eat , clean, fresh ingredients, and good value for money.. can’t wait to return.. well

I had Baked Eggs with a Chorizo and Tomato Sauce, my friend had Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon. Both very tasty and piping hot. Well worth a visit. The toilets were lovely and clean.
Fantastic BIG breakfast, full of flavour, enjoyable host, lovely subtle music in the background, best breakfast in Sidcup can’t recommend enough
