The Lit. - Tisch resevieren

The Lit. is a Black-owned bookstore in the Bronx featuring a wine bar, plenty of seating, and WiFi access. We spent some time there working on a few things. They have a strict no-spill policy, so book browsing isn’t allowed near the wine bar, and if you want to read while eating or drinking, you need to purchase the books first. The playlist is fantastic and makes you want to stay all night! It’s a great spot for a date night, whether romantic or with friends. The service was good. The temperature was a bit tricky at times, feeling a little warm, but it was the first warm day of the season. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and joining some events.

The staff were incredibly helpful and patient with my spontaneous book purchases, which I truly appreciated! The bar had a lively atmosphere and seemed like a great spot for a book club gathering. I really enjoyed the book selection, especially the variety of self-care titles representing different communities, along with a wonderfully diverse comic section. Definitely pay them a visit!

The Lit. offers an excellent selection of books for both Bronx locals and newcomers. It really captures our vibe. I always find fantastic children's books there, and they consistently have the latest releases.
