I stayed at Tides Inn and they suggested trying The Local for some fresh food. It's a charming little spot right along the main road with a great selection of breakfast and lunch options. We had the California Club and a Panini, both of which were delicious. I highly recommend the potato salad as a side. The prices were quite reasonable for the area, and the wait time wasn't too long. It was clear that many customers were ordering for takeout.
This vibrant and bustling café provides a friendly atmosphere while serving excellent coffee and breakfast. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you'll find a variety of classic options on the menu. One unique feature here is their bagel sandwiches, which are pressed, giving them a delicious panini-like twist. Very cool!
This place is great! It really is a local gem. The food is great with local ingredients (as possible). The coffee is amazing. What really struck me was how friendly the owner was and how adorable the decor is. I love the local artisan goods for sale -art, skin cream, and more. Will definitely be back.
The coffee here is excellent, and we also purchased some cool long-sleeve T-shirts. However, the employees who made our sandwiches were wearing their masks as chin straps, which made us hesitant to eat. We had a fantastic experience during our first visit! The big crab muffin was amazing, and the California Club Sandwich was excellent. The potato salad was fresh and delicious. Overall, it was a successful outing!
I wish the breakfast menu were available throughout all open hours. It wouldn't take much longer since they close by mid-afternoon. The Captain panini is delightful, and the potato salad is absolutely phenomenal!
Very cute cafe serving coffee and espresso drinks from Ironclad Roasters (Richmond, VA). My mocha was extremely sweet, but that's what Starbucks has trained most people to expect.
