The Local Gastropub

Food was decent enough. Not busy esp for game day. Very good service. Had the fish and chips which were excellent. They make their own tartar sauce and ketchup which I thought was mediocre. I ordered their recommended baked Caesar salad though which frankly tastes like hot soggy Caesar salad returned. Gf had the vegan special of the day which was a lentil shepard's pie which oddly came sans potato/other topping. It was ok but a bit dry though. Nice that they always have a vegan option though. Salad was really well done so ordered another. Dessert was hot toffee pudding which amazing! Nice selection of beers and tea. Had the Jays ACLS game 5 on on their sole TV. This is one of our favourite places. The staff are wonderful, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. If you like beer, there's always a good selection of craft brews. The cauliflower wings are fantastic and so are the curries. The toffee pudding was a really nice surprise: moist and very tasty.

Great place to hang up, eat and drink. Menu is interesting, good cocktails and beer menu. Come on, fun.
