The Local West End

The staff was really nice. The food was decent. Pretzels and fish and chips were great, pot roast was just fine and very lightly seasoned. Easy too expensive, but maybe this is only everywhere Post Covid. Came for lunch on Saturday and was not super busy. Nice to drink with friends. They have a number of roomy cabins with small glass doors on the window side of the building, which are super sweet and beautiful for a private date. Not sure if the doors can be closed, but there is a sense of cosiness and privacy. Parking is easy and free, there is a covered ramp.

Great food and society! Flavors were unique and portions were good. They were from the soup of the day, and I slept with their tomato soup. It was okay, but extremely thick, more like a paste. Tastes okay with the pot roast sandwich. The pot roast sandwich tasted quite sweet, Coleslaw on it seemed to be the cause of it was interesting taste, but will probably not repeat that when we visit again.

I visited the local last night on recommendation of several people. The atmosphere is great (like the opera, as it is the same building). I enjoyed my drinks and the fish and chips were very good! The soft Bretzel appetizer with the spicy mustard was also great. Our server was polite, attentive and appropriate! I would recommend if you were in the area!

Very much fun to this pub. We're here twice now. The food was great with good portions and great taste! Good appetizers. Good desserts. Great horned beef! Good fish. Good mixed drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. We will return.

I love this place, the atmosphere, the service the location. All amazing! Can't wait to come back again, and again!
