Well, where do I start with this other than saying it’s an absolute gem! First off we arrived early (Google has here opening at 5), we parked on the next street a short 2 minute walk away (car park stops charging at 4pm which is perfect), anyway, we arrived at 5 and the place looked closed, I’m so glad I looked inside and saw people inside, I shyly popped my head in and asked if they was open a they said they open at 5:30 and we could wait in the waiting area which was a lovely gesture, we told them we wanted a table for 2 and we didn’t have a booking, and they happily obliged, and even nicer they sat us right in the window in the conservatory with a sea view which was truly beautiful. Food was average and lacked flavour... I haven 't been for a while and recommend two dishes to my work colleagues, both really lacked any taste. The Lamb Sahrjan, an old favourite of mine, was dry and tasteless, it seemed old like it have been heated up in the microwave. My colleague only eat half of it and offered the rest to me, which I declined. 'Authentic ' fish curry also lacked taste. Very disappointed and was embarrassed that I 'd brought my colleagues here. Tarka Dahl was tasty. Sag Aloo had plenty of sag, hardly any aloo. I hate leaving a bad review but today guys, it wasn 't great!
This restaurant is terrible. The staff are incompetent, we waited over 30 minutes to order because only one waiter was taking orders. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and when it did, the waiter sarcastically commented that we must be hungry for ordering so much. The butter chicken was mediocre, not authentic at all. The chicken tikka had the same sauce as the butter chicken, which was disappointing. Adding nuts and sultanas to fried rice is unacceptable in an Indian restaurant. It seemed like the chef just threw random ingredients together without any thought.
Family meal out, I ordered four curries when they arrived at the table they only brought out three I asked what about my daughter’s curry they said I didn’t order her one obviously they hadn’t heard so they apologised and went to make it we had half eaten ours by the time it came out the curry was very nice couldn’t fault mine but the wife’s was a bit bland Large was expensive they had a good mark up on it…

We had a fantastic meal with a stunning view. The Indian cuisine was the best we have ever had. The service was top-notch. We wish we lived closer in the North of England so we could visit more often. A must-try restaurant, absolutely brilliant.
Had a takeaway from this restaurant while on holiday in the area. Service was good, swift and polite. The choice on the menu was as expected and when the food arrived it was all well prepared and hot. Will definitely eat here again.

I visited Newquay and dined at this restaurant twice because the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and I will definitely be coming back when I'm in Cornwall again.
