A friend and I visited today after booking a table for lunch. We were greeted by Stuart who was so welcoming. We were greeted by his witty banter and sparkling wit, and made to feel very welcome. My friend and I are both vegetarians so ordered Champignons à ail for starters which were absolutely delicious. For our main we both had the Vegetable Bhuna curry, although I asked for extra spice because I like a spicy meal, and the chef definitely delivered. It was both deliciously spicy and filling, and we would both highly recommend a visit.
Our soaking wet, hungry and tired party of six arrived at the mill very late in the evening. We thought that we would be turned away but NO! Despite what looked like a near full house, we were warmly welcomed and space was made for us. I cannot praise the staff enough PS the steaks are the most succulent we have ever tasted and highly recommended. Service: Dine in
This place is a real Gem, tucked down a little lane, down by the river. Stuart is very welcoming, food was delicious, great vegetarian choices. I definitely recommend you seek this place out. Great value (12 euros) lunchtime special. We had a soup starter, roast pork main, with stuffing, potatoes and veg, and apple tart and custard for dessert. Lovely atmosphere with a log fire. Parking: New, larger car park. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
