I visited this pub for a dinner as I was staying in the area and I always rate the decent value offered by Wetherspoons for its food with a drink included. The pub is located on the main A5 although set back from the road itself in a row of shops and buildings known as Varley Parade. It is a large building, which originally was built as a Woolworths store which is how it operated until 1984. This isn’t my first time visiting here, I come from out of town to visit friends and always stop here for drink and a quick bite to eat. Every single time I’ve been here the staff have been nothing but friendly and a delight. Disappointing, the only good thing was my beer… The burnt hamburger was a complete disaster. It was blackened, dry, and tasted like burnt rubber. Avoid at all costs.
Eaten at many Wethys and always found it value for money and good, the food here was awful, ordered burgers, came like the happy meal burger from mac d. Never again!
