Great value high quality interesting food in a warm inviting atmosphere. On this occasio we enjoyed a busy Saturday night service with plenty of staff on patrol keeping an eye out and many check backs for your enjoyment throughout the meal. Started with delightful crispy outer soft Cheese Mustard centred Beignet nibbles. The best Fishcake starter i have had for many a year, Smoked Salmon Brown Shrimp, small crushed creamed potato, oozing with the brown shrimps, very well made and seasoned, on a bed of herb emulsion..1st class! Slow cooked Short Ribs on a bed of soft Polenta and rich beef sauce, could be eaten with a spoon, unctuous tastes of its slow cooking prep. Main of Duck breast present...
We attended the Burns Night dinner, and what a fantastic evening it was! This place is quite popular, and it definitely lives up to the reputation of a great pub. The menu was impressive, offering a wonderful selection of both meat and vegetarian options, each well thought out. The live music was excellent, and the attentive staff, along with the cozy glow of a roaring fire, created a lovely atmosphere for a perfect night out. We will definitely be returning time and time again!
The food wasn't very hot when it arrived, and the plates were cold. The steak was disappointing for £28, and the desserts were overpriced for what they offered. While the building and dining room were quite elegant and the staff were friendly, the kitchen really let them down. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
First visit since the pub has reopened. Staff were lovely and the food delicious. Quite expensive but quality food. Had to have two or three course set menu which wasn't what we really wanted but like I said it was delicious. Great choice of wine and they were happy to let me sample a couple before purchasing.

If the fryers are broken, I suggest they update their menu accordingly and notify customers. Their menu is already quite limited, and the broken fryers have made it even smaller.
nice Sunday dinner! eating and service was fabulous and they are very dog friendly. in beautiful environment we will definitely return!
Lovely pub with tasty menu. The atmosphere and staff were amazing. The wine list is really good. We will definitely be back.
