Owners were very welcoming accommodating. Prompt efficient service, but unfortunately the food let the experience down. The seafood share starter for was a bit of a shock, a very small dish of mussel(no flavour) which was surprising as having read the reviews regarding...the Moules, I was expecting something good, two small prawns that didn’t taste of garlic, tiny amount of anchovies, tiny calamari rings that weren’t seasoned, the starter was hardly enough for one let alone sharing it. The Hake was cooked very well, but accompaniments let the dish down, carrots some new pots, maybe they were having an off night(it wasn’t busy) or covid is tugging on the purse strings, but I’m afraid we won’t...
Party of ate here for a mates birthday last Saturday. Great menu awesome variety of fresh mussels to pick from. Steak cooked medium rare to perfection, everyone else had theirs cooked as they wanted. Service was nothing short of excellent with an attentive...front of house waiter. Wide beer selection to pick from, including local Cornish ales. Have recommended to family and friends who have just booked in for Sunday lunch. Being local will definitely return.
Hands down the BEST moules frites I think I have ever tasted. Unassuming pub, lovely staff. Owner way so nice and the chef too. Absolutely fabulous food and a great range of local gins at the bar. Cornwall is known for its seafood but this...was something else. SO fresh and tasty. My partner had the camembert to start then the hake main course and again couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend this place
The Navy Inn is atmospheric and friendly, it's a great place to eat and drink. The Beef in Guinness is superb. So tasty and tender, I loved it. Also, all the staff at The Navy Inn were very helpful and friendly. We booked on the...day and then brought our booking forward and they were so easy to deal with. yesterday visited, was really satisfied with my perfect garden mountain of muscheln, friendly atmosphere, nice selection of specialties and the inexpensive cocktails. I think the marine in a hidden gem in penzance. overall I would highly recommend that we return as soon as possible.
so their website says that there are open days in the week with eating too lunch and evening. this evening they called to book a table on Monday evening and said the kitchen was closed on Monday and Tuesday...... how does it work?
visited the navy inn for dinner recently, great pub very cozy, warm atmosphere. the staff was very friendly and helpful eating fantastic and so affordable. to make it from good beer. I just missed an open fire. highly recommended.
Had to pre book due to COVID but lovely atmosphere and great food and service. The surf n turf whilst expensive was very good. Can't add anymore worth a visit just be aware your pocket may take a hit! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
great food, great local beer and great service. we had pan roasted heke and Sunday roast, this pub deserves a visit! the little extra is the amazing playlist.
