The Occidental in Quesnel is the top live music venue in the interior of British Columbia. It sets itself apart from other local venues for several reasons. First and foremost, it is operated by a local family of musicians who bring a wealth of experience in the entertainment industry. The variety of original entertainment showcased throughout the week spans a wide range of styles and genres. The stage and sound system are truly top-notch. Additionally, the venue offers a smoking lounge, billiards, a large video screen, and an incredible pub menu. The food is fantastic! - Randy Randle from Williams Lake.
We went to the Occidental Sat Dec 5th for the R.C.M.A open mike night , we had a full table which included two under a year old babies, the staff were very accommodating to us , the service was fast, friendly and the food was wonderful....my 10 year old Grandson did a couple of songs on the drums and the crowd appreciation was enthusiastic. ...it was a wonderful evening , thank you, we will be back
The venue is absolutely incredible with the best staff and the nicest owners, Barry and Louise McKillican. I can honestly say that the sound and lighting production is top-notch. A big thank you to the sound engineer, Brian McKillican, for being such a professional. Thank you to Occidental for supporting live music!
First time in Quesnel and I took in a show of the local Foxxie Follies Burlesque troupe. The Occidental is an awesome venue for live shows, great staff, good food, and some spicy jalapeño peppers on their nachos that will set the back of your mouth on fire. 5 stars Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Amazing place...amazing owners. Big city venue in a small town... love the friendly environment, good food, great customer service, and fun exciting and entertaining shows. .. if you havn't been yet put it on your list of things to do in Quesnel
The occidental is a great place to meet up and hang with friends, catch a live performance from bands or the girls at Bottoms up Baring Burlesque. The owner is a wonderful guy. Great food, great people, great place to party on a Saturday night.
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. I had a great experience every time I visited over the course of 4 days. I highly recommend this place.
Really enjoy the Occidental. Great folks, great food and great music. Lunches are delicious, too. Menu is varied, price reasonable and daily specials. Oh, and really appreciate all they have done for us fire evacuees. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Thank you Berry and Louise and all the occidental staff for an awesome CUPE Christmas party. The food was great the staff super and the live band (Frenzy) was out of this world. We can't wait until next year.
