We started with the seafood dip, which was creamy and tasty, although it didn't have a strong seafood flavor. The calamari was lightly breaded and fried, served with a nice marinara sauce. Hi Again: I would like to give a quick review of the Old Fish Factory Restaurant in Lunenburg, NS. My wife and I were quite disappointed with the Lobster serving. We were staying half an hour away in Bridgewater, NS, and we wanted to try the local fare and drive to Lunenburg to have some Lobster. The view of the harbour was very nice, and the staff were pleasant and nice. However, they had run out of the 2 pound size Lobster that evening as they were soo busy, and my wife and I decided to have the 1 pound each instead of sharing the 2 pound Lobster. Visited with my family for dinner and we were VERY impressed! Our waiter was very friendly and the meal was amazing from start to finish. We had a reservation for 6:30 and it became packed while we were there. Probably waited about 45 mins for our mains, but we didn't mind because we had drinks and appetizers in between. Plus we were notified it would be a wait for the food. Wasn't overpriced but also isn't a quick cheap meal. All of the food we had (including dessert) was phenomenal. I had a 5-star experience at the Old Fish Factory, considering the type of restaurant it is. We were promptly greeted and accommodated with a shaded table as requested. Our server, Trish (I believe that was her name), was delightful, friendly, and attentive. The caipirinha was made perfectly. We enjoyed the lobster roll (delicious), bacon-wrapped scallops, halibut, and a lobster tail, all of which were delicious. Although the scallops arrived cold, they were still tasty.
We went to this restaurant last summer following Taste of Nova Scotia's seafood trail and loved the chowder. We couldn't remember why so we went again this year. The chowder is packed with seafood more than any other restaurant in Nova Scotia. Hands down the best. Milky broth, not loaded with flour. Just perfect. It was so much, I couldn't even finish it all. We will be making this one of our regular stops when in Lunenburg.
This restaurant used to be really good in terms of the overall experience but has lost a lot of pride since last year. The service you get is well below what it used to be, we waited for at least 1 hour to get an appetizer on our last visit and food was cold when we finally got it. I didn't mind it at first but when you add all those little details I don't think we're going to go back there.
Had a burger, the taste was great with the fries being perfectly crispy and tasty. It's really nice being next to the water where you can see the boats coming in and out. Definitely recommend this area for anyone
Was there one time, great spot restaurant, Its tourist place so I would suggest to come before 1130 to get preffered spot. Prices are ok, food portions little bit small but still ok. Recommended
We enjoyed our meal at The Old Fish Factory. The patio has a great view of the harbour and the staff is friendly. The lobster roll was better than others we tried in Lunenburg!
