This charming restaurant in Knaresborough offers friendly and attentive service with a wealth of local and worldly knowledge. It is conveniently located near the station and is a real gem. Children are always welcome and enjoy grabbing a snack while watching the trains go by or playing with the train set. The food is delicious and the tea and coffee are perfect. The restaurant is uniquely decorated, paying homage to its original use as a ticket office and the history of the railway. They even have the only restroom at the station, as Northern Rail has failed to provide one for coffee shop customers. This community-focused restaurant comes highly recommended.
Popped in for lunch the other day ...wow just love the old ticket office !! Friendly helpful staff in both Doreen and Amy. They make the most wondeful lunches, perfect cups of tea and the flapjack and cakes are the best I've ever tasted!! A real credit to all there hard work...I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a must when visiting Knaresborough Keep up the good work ladies
I visited this charming little restaurant yesterday and it was fantastic! The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and made me feel like a regular customer. I also enjoyed watching the trains go by. I will definitely be returning here when I'm back in Knaresborough.
My little boy had his 4th birthday party here and it was amazing! We put bunting up, played games, watched the trains come and go, ate delicious sandwiches and sang happy birthday with one of their gorgeous handmade chocolate cakes. It was just perfect. X Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Absolutely fantastic. The owner was so kind to our son who is an avid trainspotter and really couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Nothing like this at any other train station I've ever been to, well worth a visit!!! Thank you Amy.
a fantastic sound. we had a wonderful afternoon and went back to the breakfast one day. delicious food, especially the cake! the staff was beautiful and really has around our three girls. extra tasty and sucked. we're coming back!
Always go into The Old Ticket Office before I get the train back to York. Such wonderful, friendly staff fantastic service! Beautiful decor inside and best of all my tea comes in a teapot with a cup and saucer!
