The bride and groom chose a carrot cake, which is nut-free and raisin-free, topped with a delightful orange cream cheese frosting. It was absolutely delicious! The macarated carrots and pineapples give the cake a refined texture that sets it apart from your typical chunky carrot cake. As for the side cakes, we went with chocolate, adorned with vanilla buttercream frosting. It was possibly the best chocolate cake I’ve ever tasted! The rich chocolate flavor was intense but not overly sweet. We were thoroughly impressed with The Painted Pie!
Would of gotten 5 stars if I had more of a selection of cakes to order for my husbands birthday. Location was tricky to find and didn't realize it wasn't on the Main Street and you need to walk to an outdoor mall almost. Had the choice between chocolate or carrot cake. We picked carrot and it was honestly the best carrot cake I have ever had. Nice cinnamon taste to it. The inside shop had no pastries on display and almost didn't think it was a bakery though. The 4 stars really go to how well the cake tasted.
If you're a fan of carrot cake, this is the spot for you! We make it a tradition to get one every July for my person's birthday, and it never fails to impress. The cake features layers of cinnamon-spiced carrot cake topped with a buttercream icing that is just the right amount of sweetness—light, but not too airy. I wish I had a picture to share because it's absolutely gorgeous. While it's not a traditional bakery, that doesn't take away from its charm. It's definitely worth supporting local businesses!
Ordered birthday cake from here a few years back. Very strange vibes, like I wasn't even in a bakery. Looked more like an office. I saw no baked goods for sale. The cake turned out to be very pretty, but the taste was nothing to write home about. All in all, while it wasn't a terrible experience, I haven't felt the urge to return. We called Painted Pie a few days before a 60 person party and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. Guided us on the right amount of food to order and dropped it off right on time. The food was excellent, can’t go wrong if you are looking to feed a large party!
My wife and I had our wedding cake made at The Painted Pie, and it was absolutely delicious, enormous, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place!
