I should have walked out when I saw that the best whiskey they offered was Johnny Walker Black, served in plastic Dixie cups at 10 PM. At 10:30, they pretty much kicked us out of our table—food and drinks still on it—to clear space for a dance floor without any warning, and I hadn't even gotten the bill yet. While leaving, I noticed a bunch of underage kids acting like it was a club. We thought the manager came over to apologize, but he seemed inexperienced and ended up blaming us for not leaving quickly enough. Went to the saloon one time around 8pm on a Saturday. It was a nice family vibe. I went with a girlfriend. As we went to sit down the female owner came over and asked for our ids. No problem, we’re 24. Except…she took them into the back and when she returned with them she told me mine was fake. I’ve been here many times and I know she is not a fan favorite. When I told her I’ll just eat while my friend has a drink (as to not make a scene) she told scolded me “get out before I get you kicked out.” I know it seems like I’m leaving some parts of the story out, but I truly am not. She did tell me I can come back later when the bouncers were there? Honestly it was all very weird and off putting.
Very disappointing. I haven’t been here in a few years. The food than was so delicious full of flavor and vibrant! Now the food is Bland tasteless over cooked and dry. The fried Calamari looked and tasted like it came from being frozen, the French dip had NO flavor Au Ju had a thick layer of oil on top and again no flavor. Plus what’s going on with the long booths you should be able to fit all sizes of costumers? Sorry I’m just very disappointed about what my and my families experience.

I recently visited this bar, and it was a bit crowded. When we arrived, we noticed the bartender taking a shot with some customers at the end of the bar. We waited without being served, and when new customers came in—who seemed to know the bartender—he walked right past us to serve them immediately. They also shared a shot together. After waiting around for about 20 minutes and trying to grab his attention multiple times, we ultimately decided to leave without receiving anything.
My favorite saloon to go to and unwine after a long work week. John is the best bartender. He's very attentive to his customers along with the other bartenders. I've never encountered any issues. The saloon is family oriented and everyone always makes me feel welcomed.
This is an old standby that never disappoints. The food is always fresh prepared and plentiful. They are not afraid to customize your order. The turkey platter is real turkey and if you want a quick bite there are plenty of choices.
