We were in for a quick “turnaround” trip to see the Rose Bowl. We made a reservation for dinner on New Year’s Eve at The Roof Garden and had a wonderful meal and service experience. We went to the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl and had not eaten a thing all day. We were exhausted and decided to go back to The Roof Garden for the second night. The food and staff are just outstanding!
The Rooftop at the Peninsula consistently impresses. The ambiance is stunning, and the food is exceptional. It offers a more laid-back atmosphere compared to the hustle and bustle of Beverly Hills, which is just a short distance away. I particularly enjoy having lunch here in the late afternoon, but I've heard that the dining experience is excellent at any time.
The Eggs Benedict were not great the English Muffin was too hard to even cut. The poached eggs were less than expected of such a restaurant. The Bran Muffin was light bran and the paper ate most of the muffin. The omelet was very good as was the croissant. The Roof Garden is my favorite place to go for breakfast and lunch.
The service was extremely disappointing… waitstaff was totally inattentive to our table while promptly attending to and serving other tables. I truly believe it’s purposeful and furthers a desire to only have a certain demographic to dine there… Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Lovely setting even on a cool night. small crowd so good attention. Food was excellent. We plan to go back and go to their other restaurant as well. Beautiful Hotel! Dave
Food service good however not a nice ambience. All tables shaded by umbrellas that cant be put down. Felt very dark nothing to look at
The food was delicious. Breakfast and lunch menus were both available. Very nice outdoor dining option with plenty of shade available.
