I am a part-time formby resident my girlfriend lives right around the corner of the pinewoods in the last months we were here twice and had happy food and service. for the first time we have put a bad day, but on Saturday we met friends here to dinner and it was terrible. we ordered drinks at the bar and were met with absolute interest. the barmann seemed more interested in serving with his friends at the end of the bar than men. I felt like I was more of an inconvenience than a customer. our friends also commented on this (we are all quite social, polite people.) We stumbled upon this pub by accident while searching for Formby Point and were in need of a meal. Seeing a sign for the pinewoods, we decided to stop in and have a drink. After perusing the menu, we placed our order and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. The quality exceeded our expectations and rivaled that of many top restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making for a great dining experience to end our holiday. A big thank you to everyone involved.

Yesterday, we held my Nan's wake at this restaurant and it was amazing. The food was exceptional! They provided a buffet for a large group of people and went above and beyond our expectations. There was plenty of food and the bar service was prompt. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant for events like this. Many guests praised the food and bar service, thanks again!

we have enjoyed the pinewoods for the last two years, but tonight a Shambles staff was as miserable as the sin felt as if I exhibited them to eat drinks over an hour and a half taken to not apologize and complete lack of...customer service I hate to do bad referents, but please youngs sort their staff from their customers industry. we will not be back for a past and I am appalled to come twice a month Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

today the family called together to wait for the food and then it was missing and then the gloomy time we waited and again the children gloomy lacked portion sizes were tiny on all meals, but we got one. on the tweeper rings. the personal apologised for waiting, but I don't think I'll go back. it's a shame because it was so nice in the past.

Enjoy a couple of drinks, a bite to eat with the family and a game of pool. Unfortunately over the last month the food has not been ideal. Not sure if they have changed the cook/chef but would not eat there again. Don't want to...see this place suffer so they definitely need to look at the overall picture

Hi, we rocked up here way earlier than our reserved time but it was not a problem for these lovely folks. We were seated and served in no time. Good honest pub food prepared by Russ to our specification We'll definitely be back. (It's...a dog friendly place too).

wing with six family members (all adult.) found the atmosphere friendly and the service well. the prices were very reasonable, especially those weeping. We had a very cozy meal and were not rushed in any wise. in the words of general macarthur I will return Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We love dining at Pinewoods for their diverse food selection and watching sports on TV. However, we find the drink prices to be too steep for our budget. The prices are even higher than those on P and O cruise ships.

Had the Xmas meal on Saturday night which was lovely. Loads of turkey and trimmings. Table laid with table cloth and crackers and hats. Staff couldn't have been more helpful
