We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!
Lovely place to eat. Don't take any notice of some of the negative comments and reviews. We found the staff and the food excellent. Yes, there are always things that could be improved in any pub/restaurant, but on the whole The Piper is a lovely place. Excellent value for money. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. 10/10
It was very quiet when we visited for lunch but could tell it was a popular pub. Service was great and food well made and good value. Extra bonus was charging our electric car whilst we ate!

No heating on in pub and very cold. Delay to food order. Quality and quantity of vehetables on roast dinner was poor
