My first time at The Prime Rib! This place is a Baltimore institution known for its topnotch service, classy interior, and incredible seafood and steak. We got so much food on this particular evening as it was an early Christmas celebration for us. Here's what we ordered... The potato skins: A must order! They are famous for a reason. Incredibly crispy and come with sour cream and horseradish on the side. The house salad: Also a classic item. I wasn't a huge fan of the egg chopped throughout the salad but the flavor was cut well with the pepperoncini. The clams casino: It more bacon than it is clams but still yummy. The shrimp cocktail: Giaaaant shrimp! SO worth the price. The New York Strip...
A lovely room and ambiance. The serving staff are first class, especially our waiter, Nathan. All of us ordered Clams Casino which was terrific. Two of us ordered prime rib, the standard cut. Very tough and difficult to cut even with a steak knife and our orders were rare. Sides- onion rings and potato skins did not disappoint. The roasted asparagus was a very small portion. Somehow when you go to a restaurant called The Prime Rib, you expect the best prime rib, this was definitely not the case! The quality of this restaurant should match the prices.
I had an early date here (5:30pm) recently and we had a great time. The ambience of this spot is so comforting and the service cannot be beat; stunning. I was shocked to hear my waiter had been with the company for 50 years. He laughed and pointed to a peer who was on 51 years and pointed out a few other very old-timers. Wow! Needless to say, the staff is amazing and they know what's what in the entire place. But I'd be remiss to leave out the food. I went with the prime rib. I was hesitant because it's a steakhouse, but was not disappointed.
Had a group dinner here and it was great. The place hasn't aged a day, but could also use an update. Those 80s banquet chairs are not the most comfy. Food was divine. Steaks were all great and the Rockefeller casino and escargot were perfect. Service was top notch even with our large party. Overall it was a great evening. Old school steakhouse feel is great every once in a while, and truly a throwback. Great job!

Extremely delicious. Outside my top 3 for steakhouses across the states, but I'd rank number 6 from all the cities across the US I have been. Outstanding service. Strongly made cocktails. Outstanding live music and loved the valet at no cost.
Service got this 5 star rating! I always love the ambiance at this location. Very sultry. Came here for Valentines day with my husband. No complaints here. Just a lovely evening with delicious surf turf.
If you are looking for a fine meal with excellent service, The Prime Rib, Baltimore is the restaurant to embrace. I have been going there since it opened in 1965.
Excellent food Great service Expensive, however, you get what you pay for. Looking forward to going again.
