My first time at The Prime Rib! This place is a Baltimore institution known for its topnotch service, classy interior, and incredible seafood and steak. We got so much food on this particular evening as it was an early Christmas celebration for us. Here's what we ordered... The potato skins: A must order! They are famous for a reason. Incredibly crispy and come with sour cream and horseradish on the side. The house salad: Also a classic item. I wasn't a huge fan of the egg chopped throughout the salad but the flavor was cut well with the pepperoncini. The clams casino: It more bacon than it is clams but still yummy. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore! I typically go here for special occasions, so I was excited to spend my birthday there last night. Parking was definitely a challenge upon arrival, so after circling the block a few times, I gave up and valeted my car. Valet costs $10, so I recommend bringing cash for that. Upon entering the restaurant, no one was at the host stand to greet or seat me. I stood for a few moments before opting to sit at the bar. The bartender was friendly, quick, and attentive. I ordered a standard cocktail, the chopped steak, and a side of mashed potatoes. My food came out very quickly and was pretty tasty. The steak was a touch drier than I would've liked...
I had an early date here (5:30pm) recently and we had a great time. The ambience of this spot is so comforting and the service cannot be beat; stunning. I was shocked to hear my waiter had been with the company for 50 years. He laughed and pointed to a peer who was on 51 years and pointed out a few other very old-timers. Wow! Needless to say, the staff is amazing and they know what's what in the entire place. But I'd be remiss to leave out the food. I went with the prime rib. I was hesitant because it's a steakhouse, but was not disappointed.

Everything was exceptional. Totally old school vibe and definitely an extravagant meal but worth it for the experience. The service was Michelin level and the food was impeccable. The prime rib steak with the fresh shaved horseradish is the thing to have and if they happen to have profiteroles on the menu it's worth starting with desert(they normally only have them for special holidays). The ice cream sundae however ridiculous to order at the end of a indulgent steak dinner is worth every calorie.
For fine dining in Baltimore, it's good but nothing special. There's nothing on the menu that will blow you away- typical steak house menu which was a little disappointing. The lamb was well cooked and flavorful and the potato skins were nice but overall, pretty outdated and overpriced! I love an opportunity to get dressed up though so if you have the to spend, it's a nice night out!
my fiancée brought me here to the jubilee. it was such a great place for such an occasion. it was romantic and the service was good. we have steak.
Excellent food Great service Expensive, however, you get what you pay for. Looking forward to going again.
