As someone who’s lived local to this pub for some time now I soooo wanted our visit for lunch to be good but we were disappointed. There were some real positives but I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t go again until they raise their game. The good : We had a warm welcome, they didn’t have a high chair but went and collected one from elsewhere for us which I really appreciated, the staff were very willing (they’d run out of ketchup but one of the staff went to the shop next door to get some) the chips were fat fluffy and piping hot and the lasagne looked homemade and tasted fantastic. Having heard the place had recently been 'done up ' we were quite disappointed that it appeared to be the same as it was twenty years ago, bland and dated. The staff are very friendly and there 's a good selection of ales. There was a singer on when we were there on a Friday evening but as we were sat in a snug area around the opposite side we couldn 't hear anything. A good friendly atmosphere but still tired and dated.
This spacious pub has multiple rooms, some of which have quiet ambiance and no TVs. The main bar area offers a wide selection of lagers, but if you look to the right, you'll find 5 hand pumps serving a variety of ales such as Robinson's, Addams, Otter, and Timothy Taylor's. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making my first visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend a visit to this pub.
Very well kept selection of real ales decent wines including proseco. New landlord to this establishment who is the host with the most, offering a welcome to locals and new comers. Just off the main town centre so quite. Will be further tastefully developed as new the new team enhances it further.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times in the evening, but today was my first time stopping by for lunch. I enjoyed a delicious, freshly made sandwich with generous fillings at a very affordable price. The service was quick, making it perfect for those with limited lunch breaks.
Drinks with Food. Arrived to find an excellent choice of real ale Adams Broadside was my chosen choice. Excellent atmosphere the food is excellent Pub Grub. I have to say for me this is the best Pub in Wellingborough.
This traditional pub is located on the northern outskirts of the town center. They offer a variety of real ales and classic pub food. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, making it a great value for a night out.
A comfortable local with friendly staff. Traditional pub with bar billiards, darts and pool. Good place to watch sports and food at lunch times (not Sunday)
