We visited this restaurant/record store/bar/gig venue on the weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The owners were serving the drinks and happy to talk about their place and the music they were playing (which was excellent). We were there to see a friend play a gig in the upstairs room and would be happy to visit another time. The little bar served really good drinks - my group particularly enjoyed the beers on tap.As we were wanting to see the band, we asked the chef when the kitchen closed. He was happy to serve meals to us at anytime he said and even brought them upstairs to the gig room so we could eat and watch the bands. We had a range of share food and they were all fantasti...
It was cold, wet and miserable. We were looking for a warm atmosphere and reasonably priced food for a mid afternoon late lunch. The Record Crate fitted the bill on both counts.It is not pretentious, has a good range of burgers, pasta and pizza. We enjoyed the gumbo special (rice, prawns and chorizo) which had a spicy kick and the nachos and pulled pork burger were also hits. The bar was well stocked and the coffee fine.I could see the years of my youth pinned to the walls around me and had a great time remembering all of the bands. The LPs and singles are all for sale and were pretty interesting to our younger diners. The music playing was perfect for the mood of the day.Staff are friendly...
Es gibt nichts wie ein Mittagessen, das auf den Arvo schlägt, wenn Sie ein großartiges Unternehmen haben. Am Sonntag gab es etwas verrücktes Wetter, aber wir sturren mit Boutique-Bieren und ein ziemlich erstaunliches Essen in Bezug auf die Preise. Das Butterhuhn mit Mais-Chips sah wirklich lustig aus, und ich würde eine Million, die der Italiener des Küchenchefs wette, weil die Spaghetti- und Kalbfleisch-Fleischbällchen wirklich auf den Platz getroffen haben. Caught up with a few friends for a beer and a chat. Good beer on tap especially the 7% IPA. It's nice seeing all that Vinyl in the stacks. They even had live music. It was a very pleasant stop for a brew with the crew. I did not try the food. I was worried that it would all be record crate seating but it was nice comfy benches - excellent!

This bar reminds me so much of High Fidelity (movie): I can picture a handsome John Cusak hanging out here. Part store, part bar, this place has the vibe that music addicts will love (and that the others can appreciate). Very decent prices.
This place is so comfortable and the staff are friendly. The feel of the place makes it quite an unique experience. Especially on musical nights. The Big bowl o' chips with aioli sauce is a must everytime I go there.
Nice atmosphere, good music, friendly & efficient service & good food. Seats could be a bit more comfy but I guess that's part of the look & decor. I recommend the gumbo, delicious! Good size servings too :)

Walter White Cocktail ist ein absoluter Muss !! Tolles Atmosphäre, fantastisches Essen freundliches Personal. An diesem Ort kann nicht schief gehen, dass wir sicher sind :)
