Went with local lunch group of retired gents as we go for local pub lunches around the area, to check out the pub with its new owners, The Land lady front of house was excellent in her welcome and service could not be bettered. They...could provide us any food we wanted other than steak (we lunch on sarnies and chips so that was not a prob). Food was fine. We are looking forward to returning in the next few weeks, hopefully they make a success of it as the local pub can be a hard going business to crack we see so many go under near here. They are also dog friendly which is like a real pub should be.. Definitely worth a visit.
very kindly greeted and it soon became clear that nothing was too much annoyed. the service was friendly and helpful without having been very courteous and ready to change/adapt the eating on the menu. we had thriving and desserts and eating was excellent great portions,... really delicious and obviously cooked with carefree. really thoughtful touches on the service for my mother who had recently a stroke. we have registered for the loyalty card and go back this week!
its hard to know which impressed me the most, decent prices choice of food or taste of food ... firstly the staff are lovely and we asked for a sandwich suprise and oh my gosh we recieved four half ciabattas all different flavours. one bacon...one cheese salad one ham and a bacon served with a decent bowl of chips. it was presented so beautifully and tasted so nice i fully reccommend this pub for ambience and friendliness... just as an aside we were there mid day...
The Red Lion hosted and catered for my husbands birthday yesterday, we had family and friends including children, as well as several dietary requirements. We were made very welcome, part of the pub was closed off just for us and the food was delicious with...a number of different options made specially for us as a hot buffet. Kate, Stephen and their staff were endlessly attentive and we all had a really great afternoon. Very definitely recommend

We stopped by this restaurant on our way and were greeted by some incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We ended up coming back two nights in a row because of how welcoming they were. One evening, we arrived too late for food elsewhere, but they fired up the ovens and cooked us exactly what we wanted. They truly know how to take care of their customers. The pub garden is also stunning.
For the first time since the lockdown, the Red Lion restaurant is open again and is serving delicious pub food in generous portions. The staff and management are welcoming and create a relaxed atmosphere. It's important to support our local pubs during these challenging times.
First time visiting today with a friend who goes regularly. Very welcoming pub from the moment you step in to the moment you leave. Food was lovely and even catered for my very fussy son and cooked him something up. Will definitely be visiting again.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The environment is safe with a spacious dining area and a large, well-designed garden. Dining here is highly recommended.
Worst Sunday lunch I have ever had. Couldn't eat the beef was like leather. Lovely staff and customer service though
