A nice restaurant setting for a cold winters night. If you have the option, choose the lounge seats, as the cafe style chairs are very uncomfortable after a while.The pasta dishes we had were very good, the stand outs were the ravioli and the forest mushroom pasta. The confit duck was really delicious. The blood orange sorbet dessert was fantastic, fresh flavours, a great finish to the meal. Also, the semi freddo was good too, if a little rich. Unfortunately, one of our party had the ice cream sandwich, this was a let down compared to the other dishes.The bread selection was tasty, beware not to eat too much of this. Pendolino is my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney. It never fails to impress on a great selection of entrees & mains. I always order everything to share as I don't want to miss out on anything. The fresh pasta with any type of ragu' is delicious & there's always a lovely drop of red to match perfectly! The service is always professional. It is a little on the dark side but that's very nice for a more intimate meal as opposed to a larger group. I will continue to return to Pendolino for hopefully many years to come but generally only for a special occasion as it is a touch on the pricey side. Well worth it for a Birthday treat!
Dropped in for a fancy lunch today and was very disappointed. Firstly the female waitress was not friendly or welcoming. Ordered the mixed olive oil entree sample dish. This was lovely but he pasta came out whilst still eating this entree. Then we both had the linguine with prawns. So expensive for such a small serving. Paid $11 extra to have the prawns and got about three scrap bits of prawns. Plus one serving was nearly double the other size. And had to ask and wait for cutlery to be given. The dish was not seasoned and the pasta undercooked. No where close to al Dente. Coffee was good but overall very disappointed.

Ich habe letzten Montag ein Drei-Gänge-Menü bestellt - Ravioli, Schweinebauch und Semifreddo. Sie waren anständiges Essen, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Der Ravioli wurde frisch gemacht, aber sie kamen ein wenig unterschätzt. Wunderschönes Restaurant, das sich sehr melbourne anfühlt. Es verfügt über einen privaten Essbereich, obwohl es nicht völlig vertraulich ist, es ist ein schöner Raum mit beweglichen Wänden. Das dunkle Interieur und das geschlossene Fenster hat eine kühle Atmosphäre. Ich kann den süßen Erbsen Risotto dringend empfehlen und dann Semi Freddo zum Dessert. Der Kundendienst ist großartig und das Essen kommt schnell heraus.

This would have to be one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Sydney. It's hard to go past the burnt butter and safe ravioli every time I am there or the house made ragu. Both are spectacular.
