The food and service is amazing from here, whether you are eating in or taking away. But the reason I’m leaving this review is today I was dealing with my 2 year old having the worst public meltdown she has ever had waking through Hadleigh high street, I decided to just stop and sit on the pavement to try and calm her down enough to carry in walking. After a few minutes the owner of the restaurant came out (we had stopped opposite on the other side of the road) with 2 lollipops for my daughter which instantly stopped her meltdown like nothing had happened. I just thought it was so nice and thoughtful as he didn’t have to do this (maybe he just wanted the shrieking to stop lol) but it helped...
When I was in my teens, I went to this restaurant a lot, once a week with friends would be fair to say. It would be my go to, but then as the years went on the food went down hill and others in the area were better. Recently, the restaurant changed ownership and rumours were going about saying it was really good again, so after years of avoidance, I decided to go back and try it, and it was fantastic. The dishes were beautifully cooked and tasty, the bahji's were big and round and delicious. The Saag Paneer, definitely the best I've ever had. We both had such a lovely meal at the Royal Bhengal. I really recommend the chicken Rogan Josh with vegetable rice. We were well looked after by the owner and his staff and considering that everywhere is so expensive since the pandemic, the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for having us will come again! :
The Indian cuisine at this restaurant is excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary Onion Bhaji, and the customer service was top-notch, with the owner being very friendly. We ended the meal with shots. The Sag Aloo was especially delicious.

Only given 1 star an it won't let me give a zero star rating. Ordered a takeaway for delivery on Saturday night. Never arrived!!! No reply when I tried to phone them and ask when and if it would be delivered. Why take an order if you can't deliver!!!
Tonight we visited with our children . We thoroughly recommend this restaurant as the food is lovely, reasonably priced and the staff very accomodating. The man serving was really friendly.
Ordered a takeaway at 18:05, said it would be delivered at 19:10. It's now 20:15 and no order. I've tried calling the restaurant but there's no answer and no response at all.
The food was very nice and the front of house staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back again to eat in and order more food to takeaway in the future.

The food was tasty, but cold because it was 2 and a half hours late. We'll probably give the restaurant another chance, but I'll be picking it up myself next time.
