The Runaway Spoon - Tisch reservieren

This cafe is in a good spot if you happen to be in Lindfield. It is spacious, well designed, and serves decent coffee. But most (though not all) of the staff seem to have been trained by the owner, who is Basil Fawlty on a...bad day. Try having a conversation with him if you want to laugh or cry. You'll likely get rudeness, grumpiness or unpleasantry. The harder you try the worse he'll be (I think he not so secretly dislikes customers)! I'd urge you to go to the only other place in this spot Goodfields, just around the corner. A bit smaller, but lovely staff make it a much more pleasant experience.

I am surprised by the positive reviews this restaurant receives. My partner ordered a smoked salmon stack on "Wintons," which turned out to be corn chips topped with crushed salmon, rocket, and mayonnaise, with avocado on top. It was very unusual. I ordered the Nourish Bowl, which was mostly brown rice with beans, chickpeas, and avocado in a strange sauce. The overall experience was bizarre and I only ate about 25% of my dish out of respect for my companions. I will not be returning.

Thank you, Runaway Spoon! I visited this morning and had a fantastic brunch. The restaurant is a wonderful family-owned business with welcoming staff and delicious coffee. I will definitely be returning next week.

Great place for a summer meal or dinner, on the local village green. Good food (big brkkie was excellent) and makes usual (big) lunch like Burger n' Pommes.

Great menu options for takeaway from the eat in menu. Provided takeaway cutlery thank you! Great coffee, speedy, friendly service.
