Eddy was our server at The Salty Crab Grill North Beach, and you absolutely have to ask for him! He was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to every detail, and made us feel truly special. Even though he was the solo bartender, he managed our table with impressive efficiency. Eddy crafts an amazing Mitch and Maria cocktail and was so careful when serving our coffee, making sure we stayed still because it was piping hot. Some of the best seafood you’ll ever eat! As we sat down, we overheard someone saying to their kids that they’d be eating crab and shrimp as it’s some of the best in the country…well they were not wrong! Our awesome hostess Cristina, helped us navigate the menu and we chose fire roasted Bairdi crab and calamari both were absolutely delicious! Kids menus offer burgers chicken tenders etc and they went down a treat with our two. There is a trick to getting all the crab meat cleanly from each leg thankfully Cristina showed us how and not only did it taste amazing but you get a real sense of achievement when you do it right!! Keylime pie and margaritas were good too!
This establishment is 1 block off the beach at lifeguard stand #6. What a way to round out a day at the beach. Lively atmosphere with a great menu, from appetizers to main dishes. The cooking oil was so clean the deep fried items were fried to a crispylight cloud. We had the coconut grouper, and the coconut trio which was fantastic in itself but then add to it the coconutsauce, outstanding. The tropical slaw was delicious and light. To the waitress who was heading to Wisconsin (sorry can'tremember your name) you did a fabulous job. Thanks for topping off a great experience.
We were searching for a late-night bite on the strip in Clearwater and stumbled upon this restaurant. It primarily serves seafood, but they do offer other options as well. Unfortunately, my first dish was not satisfying; they used coconut milk for the rice, which gave it an odd flavor. However, the waitress was friendly and kindly replaced my meal with an Angus burger, which was delicious. My friend ordered the steak tacos. While this place is suitable for a quick meal, I don't think I'll return. Sorry, Salty Crab, but I wasn't impressed.

Outstanding service and exceptional cuisine. If there’s one spot in Florida you must visit for a meal, this is it. The flavors and quality are superb, and the staff were lively and engaging. Donning a bib and gloves to enjoy the dish added to the fun experience. It’s a shame this amazing seafood won’t be easy to enjoy again, as the distance makes it unlikely!
Great restaurant within walking distance to the beach. We were seated quickly upon arrival and our waiter was fantastic. I will say the kids menu is mediocre but everything else we ordered was delicious and I would definitely eat here again and refer toothers when traveling to Clearwater.
This place is awesome! Ray is even more awesome! We were in Clearwater for three days and did dinner twice with Ray and breakfast once with Eddy. This place is great and the service is top notch! Ray is hands down the best server we have ever had. The food is delicious too! 10/10!
Fantastic crab legs with incredible seasoning! Our server Eddy was wonderful—thank you so much! I also highly recommend trying Basil’s Root Beer New Fashion.
