It's a very cute place and location, but I felt for the price, the food was lacking. My daughter didn't even like the fries. The mixed drink I had was good, but I was charged as much for a small mediocre salad and drink as I pay for a large mixed greens house salad with a huge piece of seared tuna and feta at the Magnolia Villa in Etowah Mill nearby. I think it has potential. And to be fair, I didn't try any of their other food, so you may want to look over the other reviews about certain seafoods. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and the service was friendly and laid-back. The fried green tomatoes were okay, but I would recommend asking for the crema and sauce on the side next time to prevent them from becoming mushy. The Canton salad was fresh and delicious, with the perfect amount of bacon, egg, and blue cheese. It was satisfying enough for a meal. The hush puppies were a bit dry but were enjoyable when drizzled with butter. I would definitely come back for the ambiance and vibe. The drink menu offers some interesting options, including a customizable Bloody Mary with various toppings, such as a lobster tail.
This was our first trip to the Salty Mule. I thoroughly enjoyed the food! My scallops were succulent, to say the least. The clams were perfect. I had the brussel sprouts and was not disappointed. The only remotely adverse thing I can say about any of the food that was on the table is... the cole slaw is served in a sauce cup. It needs to be more substantial than a sample. We will be returning.
RUDE DO NOT EAT HERE Shrimp grits was more like shrimp tomato soup with a scoop of grits. Management/owners were insulted we did not like the meal. Male owner shoved the dish at my husband and yelled at him. Then after we paid (for food we did not eat) we were accosted by the female owner who followed us to our car accusing us of not paying.

I absolutely love this seafood restaurant in Canton. The atmosphere is relaxing and reminds me of being at a beachside restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and the seafood dishes are mouthwatering. The portions are also very generous. This is definitely my top choice for seafood in Canton.
We went for an early lunch. It wasn't crowded, so it was perfect because we had a 2 yo with us. The music was really nice; not too loud so we could have a conversation. The food was really delicious and filling. The prices were decent for seafood. Hope to visit again.
We had a negative experience at this restaurant. Our bill was incorrect and we were overcharged, but instead of taking responsibility, the staff blamed us. The portions were small and the oysters were served frozen. We will not be returning.
What a great casual beach like atmosphere here in Canton! The food was really good. We had grilled chicken and shrimp and fish and it was all delicious!
