Stopped in on Saturday while visiting the Merrick fair....looking to get out of the heat and grab a cold beer with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. Great bar and beer selection!! We all decided to try some food after looking at the menu....I had the French dip sandwich with homemade fries and it was DELICIOUS!! The bartenders were very friendly and the owner came over and introduced himself and made us all feel very welcome. Looking forward to going back again soon.
The selection of beers here is excellent, and the food offerings are quite good as well. The location is fantastic. However, the main drawback is the pricing. Paying $15 for chicken tenders without fries seems steep. If you can, try to arrive when the appetizers are half-priced, but be prepared to shell out $8 to $10 for each beer. The interior design is impressive, which adds a nice touch to what is otherwise a fairly typical bar experience.
Friendly people, good atmosphere. My favorite thing here is probably the creative cocktails, the cocktail menu has changed recently, but they are still very good and very unique compared to other places. Bartender is also very warm for personal requests. Also recommended are their excellent happy hour offers, they offer very good prices for bar food and most drinks at this time, usually 50% discount.
As always, dining at Savoy Tavern was a fantastic experience! Our family loves visiting for the delicious food and live music. The staff is consistently friendly, and the service is exceptional. I can't recall ever having a dish here that I didn't enjoy. The owner, Guy, is a wonderful person who came to our table and thoughtfully gave our children coloring books – such a great touch! I had an absolutely fantastic experience dining here. While the menu had a limited selection, the portion sizes were generous. The drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends and family. The dessert options were suitable, and the crème brûlée was delicious.
It was the best time I had in a long time. Just stopped in for a quick drink but ended up staying all night. I had my friends meet me and we all thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and staff. Lauren the bartender was a delight as was the manager, Jenny! Will definitely be back!
Food here is delicious and the service is always awesome! The fact that they have Saturday brunch makes my day! My family and friends went there for brunch and the food was awesome! Bottomless mimosas and **** mary's were really good too! Will definitely be back again!!!!
