Upon first arrival the car park, which is awkward at best, was full. This left us to park on a grass verge into the village. The welcome man was great happy and polite and quickly sorted out drinks. However, we then waited there for 30...mins for our table. We were then escorted to our table where the staff took the drinks for us but forgot whose was whose. Hence a round of drink swapping, but this was minor and quite comedy really. The starter was bland (had the pate) and the toast was out of a packet. This place NEVER disappoints….. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and never ever had anything except excellent food amazing service. You can book on line but I always call and speak to the lovely Julie who’s always cheerful happy to help what...ever the occasion. Once you arrive there’s always a warm welcome. Chris the Manager is a true professional and trains the staff to his high standards, keep up the good work Chris it’s a 10/10 from us. We had forgotten about the school house and so glad we have rediscovered this beautiful restaurant, the staff and food was excellent they were kind and thoughtful especially the manager he made my birthday meal a memorable one, it’s clean and food is tasty n...fresh the price was very reasonable wine n beer good prices as well which is a amazing this day n age not to be ripped off, so all I can say is it will now be our go too restaurant again. in the last months we visited the school house twice. for dinner and lunch. both of them were great. the staff with the greeting and the service was exceptional. eating was from a wide and varied menu of highest standard. the spatial areas were both inside and outside very clean and neat. many parking places in a well-lined opposite. everything in the offer is first class. the school house is highly recommended. Thank you.
this afternoon I celebrated the 70th birthday of my father. all about the afternoon was fabulous from the weather, the environment, eating, drinking and service from all the staff we met. special mention to chris, who went over and over for us, what a good he is to the school house! I would recommend this place very different. many thanks for making my vaters meilenstein birthday so special.
many years since our last school house visit, but friends invited us to a solemn lunch with 30 people. the opportunity was pleasant in every sight, good company, beautiful ambiente and excellent eating and service. we regret that it was so long ago. Before we come back, we will return much earlier.

Excellent place, Staff can't do enough for you. Food some of the best we have had especially on a Sunday lunch. The Manager Chris runs a very good ship and ensures the place is 100% all the time.
