We visited the Snug Pub for Easter, and I must say, the food and service were outstanding! We started with the spinach dip, which was so good that we could have made a meal out of it. The portion size was great for an appetizer, so we kept the rest of our meals simple. My daughter ordered a classic burger, served with a side salad, mayo, and tomatoes, along with some truly excellent chips. I had the fish and fries, which were also very good. The fries were perfectly seasoned, and the tartar sauce had just the right tang. The portion sizes were generous, and Justin, the cook, did a fantastic job. This restaurant used to serve exceptional food, and their potato leek soup was always a highlight. However, lately, both the food and the atmosphere have declined. The wait staff has become less attentive, and the dishes lack the flavor they once had. It was wonderful to have an Irish pub nearby offering authentic cuisine, but now I find no reason to return. The menu has changed, and they've removed many of the classic items. What was once a charming Irish pub has now turned into just another bar serving typical pub food with an Irish name.
The Snug remains my favorite spot in town. They have the best bartenders in the area, and when you pair that with some of the finest food around, you truly have a gem. I recently enjoyed the pork medallions in cherry sauce on two occasions, and they were incredible. The cottage and pot pies are consistently delicious as well. Whether you come early, stay late, or just pop in to say hi, you won’t be disappointed!
I enjoyed the chicken pot cake on Friday night, and it was, without a doubt, the best pot cake in all of Brevard. The healthy chicken, peas, carrots, and tender potatoes were simply fantastic. The depth of flavor was wonderfully rich. The crust was light and fluffy—truly brilliant. The ice-cold Harp paired perfectly with the dish. I will definitely return! Keep up the great work! Our server Melanie was great and the food was terrific! I had the very meaty Reuben and my wife had the salmon bites and we left there very satisfied. It was our first time there and we will definitely be going back.
