a pleasant surprise when visiting the spread eagle, as I remember it was an old drinker pub the day. but it was renovated a hotel with bar and eat and its beautiful. big eat, rather limited menu and special board, but I fight with too much choice so perfect for me. I visited with 4 others and we had a series of lasagne, fish and chips, burger or cake. everyone enjoyed eating. the personal is friendly and efficient, the day that we went on a birthday party of about 10, went on so that they were a bit loud, not really complaining, as expected at a big meeting, but we were put on the side of this table, we could not talk, so asked to be moved, this was so everything arranged happily. there is a...
I used to call in here years ago but it's all been refurbished a couple of years ago. It's airy and classy with a welcoming atmosphere. We've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. There's a new menu on at the moment which isn't extensive but I feel that's a good thing. The kitchen is open so you can tell they are proud of their food. A couple of small observations I'd put forward would be it was a shame the special board isn't available anymore in the afternoon and I feel another staff member would be better as the lady (who is awesome) was having to serve, take orders, deliver food to tables etc. An easy 5 stars from us
Well! What an absolutely gem! From a warm welcome when we arrived, to a stunning room, and finishing with a gorgeous full English breakfast included in the price! Thank you very much. We will 100% be retuning!

great for a pint really nice inside like an aladdins cave, bonus points for hot water in the toilets when the wash hands a rarity in these days. eating looks next level back to try
Enjoyed an excellent overnight stay including evening meal. Very good food and excellent host. Room was spot on too. Will be my go to choice if again visiting Chesterfield.
Nice modern bar with excellent beer and food. Rooms and breakfast also very good (free parking thrown in if you stay overnight). Recommended.
