I am lucky to live very close to the Stanton and walk there regularly. While they are fantastic for a random Tuesday night dinner and have plenty of fish and vegetarian options (omg, the meatballs! , it’s in the special occasions where they truly shine. I had friends in town who decided to surprise us all with an engagement! The Stanton opened their doors to us and made sure everything was incredible, even though it was relatively last minute. The owner Jason and server Matthew will go out of their way to make sure that your experience is second to none, and it’s all driven by their empathy and love of this community. I can’t recommend The Stanton enough!
I went to the stanton for the first time a few months ago and it was pretty good. but went in the first week of jan’22 and they had changed their chef. that was terrible. the Thai suppe had no salt, the oysters came with a really beautiful green mignonette and that was changed for just like carrots or reddishly soaked into vinegar. the quality of the oysters themselves was really different. the lamm bolognese was still gone from scratching. tried as load bought noodles and I would have done myself. better start hitting the beach house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The ambience is posh and relaxing. Our servers were very attentive to our needs and knowledgeable of the dishes. The food was very fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. We both got branzino fish of the day. Delish! We ended with the butter pecan and chocolate gelato which was also delicious. Great place to relax and enjoy an evening out. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with him and sharing our stories of our travels.
Sorry for the bad review, but I made a reservation on OpenTable for the Stanton HB for last Friday night only to find out that the restaurant was closed entirely this past week. And I found this out only after going to the restaurant at the time of my reservation. I am not sure who is at fault here Stanton HB or OpenTable but this was disappointing and left us having to scramble to find a place to eat on a busy Friday night.

The food was incredible and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had the Fanny Bay oysters, Yellowtail Crudo, Kaiser Don, Lamb Bolognese, Braised Short Rib, Mango Mousse and the Wild Berry Rolada. Everything was fresh, fantastic to look at and better to eat.
The food was absolutely delicious. Pictured below is the oysters and crab fries that we started off with. Fantastic. I also ordered the short ribs which were also great.The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed from the start.
My girlfriend and I absolutely love it at this restaurant. The food is soooo good, the atmosphere is amazing and the Staff is the best of all… cannot wait to come back for more. Definitely a must stop whenever in Hermosa Beach .
Second year in a row making sure we got a reservation at The Stanton HB while visiting. It's a family favorite and we all love the staff, the restaurant and food. Highly recommend if you're in HB to give them a try!

Staff was accommodating and patient, even helped set us up with an outdoor seating with view of the Dodgers game. Food was great. Would definitely go back
