Stayed in Uldale from 26th July to 2nd August and me and my lad popped in for a pint however the Atmosphere in there and the friendly staff made us at home so we've been 3 times altogether. Food was also absolutely tasty. You won't go hungry if you visit this wonderful Inn. We will certainly come back again. For those that haven't been I suggest you pop along you won't regret it.
We were staying in Bassenswaite, so having visited for drinks one afternoon, we booked a table for the following night. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to a pub that’s made me and my family feel so welcome. Fantastic friendly atmosphere, good selection of drinks and great value, lovely food! You really can’t go wrong in visiting here. Thank you!
A superb country pub with excellent food and cheerful service. Nice covered outdoor area in the likely event that it rains. Recommend booking in advance for evening meals. Ice creams sold all day and the food is tasty and home cooked. Highly recommend a visit.

Good 'pub grub ' nice people, friendly atmosphere, 'real ale ' and sensible prices. Parking easy, dog friendly. Will happily return.
The beers at this restaurant are fantastic and well-maintained, they welcome dogs, and there is plenty of outdoor seating available.
