In general, our dining experience was pleasant. We had no trouble making a reservation online with Open Table. When we arrived, our table was ready. The restaurant is small but cozy and inviting. Our group of 10 had mixed opinions on the food quality. It was disappointing that the brunch menu was limited and they had run out of one item. The main issue was that there was no mention of a Burlesque show on the website. While some in our group were fine with this unexpected entertainment, others were not interested. Additionally, we were surprised to find a $15 fee for the show that we were not informed about beforehand. Overall, the food was decent and the atmosphere nice, but there was a lack...
We arrived at the restaurant for it to be completely chaotic , no one to greet us or seat us. A private event was going on that seem like it took over the upstairs and downstairs but was only supposed to be occupied upstairs. We asked the bartender what to do and he said just sit anywhere, myself and company were standing around for 25 minutes just looking lost in a crown of people until we decided to leave. It was my birthday celebration and I was expecting wine and charcuterie and got the complete opposite!
I can’t begin to describe how incredible our experience was here at Tasting Room! Such a great vibe from start to finish… we will definitely be back for brunch! Deco and ambiance are next level, great for pics! Also the drinks and food were incredible, we got the cheese board to start. Aside from all of this, the service was so great and very friendly. You don’t want to miss out on this Magazine Street gem!
This is a late night place, but we went after Jazzfest for a relaxed meal. We arrived early with 10 people and they were gracious (the place does not fill up early). The chef came out to deliver our tasting boards and was so excited to share the beautiful creation. We also had sandwiches and salads and great drinks. I really enjoyed my visit to this charming restaurant. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating, making me feel like a welcome guest in his home. The cozy interior had about 5 tables and a bar to choose from. The cheese board was absolutely delicious and a great choice for snacking while enjoying cocktails.
Our server was clearly under the influence of multiple substances, dropped a glass on our table without apologizing or trying to clean it up, forgot our drinks, and overall made our dining experience very uncomfortable.
Poor fellow behind the bar was the cleaner, barkeep, server, and kitchen runner. Quite a shame on Saturday night to try and staff the front of the house with one fellow. Shame shame shame to the owner.
