Played at The Timbers at Troy today, and the 3-star rating isn’t about the course’s condition—in fact, the course was in excellent shape despite all the recent rain. The real issue was the unbearably slow pace of play—it took over 5 hours and 10 minutes to finish a round, with constant waiting around. Nine-minute tee time intervals just aren’t sufficient, especially with cart path only rules. Kemper, please focus less on restrictions and more on improving the experience for your customers.
It's been a few years since I last played this course, which used to be beautiful, but today's experience was disappointing. I understand it's July and there have been unusual storms recently, but if the course is struggling, they should at least reduce the price for those who still want to play. The tee boxes and fairways were in poor condition, and to make matters worse, sprinklers turned on on nearly every hole on the back nine.
