I cannot put into words the atrocious experience me and my family have had. We ordered 3x curry goat, 1x curry chicken, 1x fried chicken, 2x dumplings and some coleslaw which would come to £29.10. Problems 1. WE WERE CHARGED £35.50, which meant we had to ring again. 2. Ordered at 5:35 we were told it would take 45 mins, by 6:50 it had NOT arrived. 3. We rang again and they said we had given the wrong address (which we hadn’t) and no phone number, even though no phone number was requested. Our postcode had been given so there should have been no problem with the delivery. 4. It arrived at 7:30, nearly 2 HOURS AFTER we ordered it. 5. The dumplings were missing from the order. This restaurant deserves zero stars. We placed an order through their website, paid for our food, but received no confirmation email or confirmation on the website. Despite calling multiple times, we were unable to reach anyone and had no idea if our food was on its way. When we drove to the restaurant, we found it closed. They happily took our money without providing the service. It feels like we were robbed. We will not trust this restaurant to order from again. Our experience was a waste of both time and money.
My boyfriend and I ordered two servings of curried goat, along with rice and peas and a couple of fried dumplings. Unfortunately, the curried goat was extremely dry and lacked any spiciness, with an excess amount of oil surrounding it. The rice tasted bland, like boiled white rice with a few beans that seemed to be overcooked in the microwave. The fried dumplings were the only highlight. The food was not cheap and of poor quality. We have no plans to return to this restaurant.
I was thrilled to find a Caribbean restaurant in Bedford, as I love Caribbean food. I decided to grab lunch there right away and ordered the Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas to go. However, what I received was a container of brown, oily liquid with the rice floating in it. I was confused as jerk chicken is not supposed to be saucy. The food had no flavor or spice, so I took a few bites before throwing it away. It was a waste of money and I will not be returning.
