Originally wanted to visit in December as I have heard and seen a lot on the news and Facebook. I settled for January. And decorations were still up. I was celebrating a friends birthday a few days early and decided to treat her. Our waitress was Livia, sweet girl. However, we were seated and were sitting for about 15 minutes before she came over. I did get up and went to the hostess to inquire about. She did not go over the specials with us, nor did she bring bread to the table. I want to share my honest experience at the restaurant. After we were seated, we waited 20 minutes for someone to bring us water. Then, after 40 minutes, a staff member returned with bread that had been microwaved – I could tell because it turned rock-hard after just 2 minutes. After an hour, our appetizers arrived. The garlic bread was undercooked and raw on the inside, making it inedible, and the mozzarella was soggy instead of crispy. Another 40 minutes passed before our main dishes were served. As a wine enthusiast, I was pleased to find a wide selection available, including their special vault selection, which I happily tried. We started with the fried mozzarella appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I ordered the carbonara and added chicken without any hassle (for an additional charge), and it was fantastic! Other diners at our table had chicken parmesan and Sunday gravy, both of which they claimed were excellent. The portion sizes were generous—I’ll definitely be able to get two more meals out of mine. We have been waiting for a reservation to become available for a couple months. Finally we found out about an opening and grabbed it. Although we worried our expectations might be too high we were absolutely not disappointed. Drinks, apps, meal was great! Highly recommend the garlic knots! Wow. They were amazing! Our server, Octavia was professional, attentive and warm striking the perfect balance between serving us and allowing us to really enjoy the experience and take our time. The decor was beautiful. this was our first time at The Venetian. We had wanted to come on my birthday on 12/7 and thought you could JUST walk in that day!. so I went online on 12/2 and was able to make a reservation for a Sunday 1/14 2:00 for my party. We were greeted and seated upon arrival. Our server Emily was very nice. The decorations were beautiful. In fact, on the way out, I posed with one of the polar bears that I named PETE. We will definitely be back !!!!
The Christmas experience (even after Christmas was so nice. We went with our 3 kids (10 years old, 2 year old, and 4 month old . The restaurant was EXTREMELY accommodating. The food was much better than anything I've had in the North End. The Chef came out to check on our meals- which doesn't happen at most restaurants (and he actually seemed to care!! . I wish we didn't live so far away or I'd be visiting more often!
Made our reservations 6 weeks in advanced Decor was spectacular. Worth the wait. Food and drinks were delicious. My only complaint is we were squeezed into the table space for 2. We joked with the other tables next to us that we were practically sitting with each other. I felt our server rushed us but I know they had to get the next couple seated. I would definitely go back again.
Originally from Weymouth so have been to the Venetian alot over the years. Loved the Holiday Decor, it was beautiful and made you feel like you were in special place, nicely done The food was delicious, drinks perfect and service was wonderful. Will definitely be back? Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I visited this restaurant for my birthday, and as always, it was fantastic. Paul really went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. You can't go wrong with the homemade pasta—everything I've tried has been delicious!
