Absolutely terrible. My family of 10 often goes on vacation to Porthcawl. This was our first time dining at this restaurant as other restaurants were too busy. We ordered a meal from the specials board that was advertised for 6 pounds, but when we placed our order, they insisted it was actually 9 pounds and immediately changed the price on the board. The staff refused to honor the original price and three employees made it clear that we had to pay the higher price or not have the meal at all. I couldn't help but wonder if saving 3 pounds was worth tarnishing their reputation and receiving negative word-of-mouth. We will never return to this establishment again.
Whenever we are in Porthcawl, we make sure to stop by the Waterfront restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The coffee and cake are also great value. The only issue we have is that the toilet roll dispensers are not working properly. As a solution, we always use the toilets at the Pavilion before dining at the Waterfront. The toilets at both locations are clean, but the Pavilion has dispensers that work well. Despite this small inconvenience, we still love the Waterfront and give it 5 stars. We hope they fix the dispensers soon!
We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite the 2003 licensing law allowing my soon-to-be 17-year-old daughter to have a fruit cider with a meal and an accompanying adult, we were told by the staff that they had their own rules and she could not have the drink. The situation was made worse by the staff hovering over us and making us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, the ham sandwich we ordered was lackluster with standard bread and minimal filling for a high price of £7.50. Overall, we were not impressed and do not plan on returning for future meals.
We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend, first impressions while being shown upstairs to the room were not great, stairs and hallways defiantly need attention, But I must say once the room door opened we was pleasantly surprised, clean nice size room with a nice modern bathroom. bed was comfy slept well all weekend. we had a meal the first night which was very good and well priced, breakfast was excellent and all the staff were great, always happy to help and advise, will defiantly return next time we visit Porthcawl.

Eleven friends went for evening meal and spent a lot of money .pint of beer not lager was £5'10 a pint . extortionate. Just after 10 they stopped serving and we're ready to close up.what a way to be treated. They had our money and wanted us out .this is supposedly a seaside resort in mid season.they said we could go their sister bar the marine.as it would be open. when we got there it was also.shut .I will never go in this paper b again Money grabbers
We LOVE The Waterfront! Last night we decided to eat out and took advantage of the 'Friday Grill Night '. As always, the staff were excellent and, even though it was particularly busy, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was superb we opted for the Creamy Mexican Chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Thank you to all the staff you are the best!
Had from the specials board...beef and ale pie... homemade and absolutely delicious... packed to the brim with solid chunks of beef... amazing value for money... would never normally leave a review but I'll make an exception as it tastes so good... compliments to the pie man
This was a last minute and it was well worth it, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing there were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our starter and main meal. Will defiantly go again and would highly recommend.

Staff great, good choice of drinks lovely setting but food very overpriced don't mind if I'm getting a good meal but a big disappointment.
