What a disappointment Friends stopped at the Wheatsheath in their camper van. No issue there other than my wife and I met them, both coming from work in our cars. My wife was not drinking, I was. We spent some time after last orders with them in their van only to find the car park exit blocked by a car. Clearly placed on an angle to prevent access egress We’d spent rather a lot in the bar and had a 30 min walk home. My wife understandably disgruntled as being sober. I’m not sure, tomorrow, when I have to walk back whether the car will be gone, or not and whether I’ll get to work on time! Great food all seemed to be freshly made to order. The portions were very generous as well as being delicious, so we all left full and happy! Staff were really friendly, and the meals were very good value. We were just visitors to the area, but would return to the Wheatsheaf if we were ever back!
