short; great food, great beer and first class service. we called a Thursday lunch time just before 12:30 a.m. and to our surprise were the parking lot and the pub already full. we hadn't booked in advance and although there were only two of us, we were lucky to get one table. next time we will definitely book a table in advance. there was a good selection of beers and the beer we had was great. the menu offered a good selection of dressed, we had only called for a light lunch and went with the chicken sandwich that was served with chips not quite a light lunch, it was very crowded, but it was fantastic, we really enjoyed it. all in all a great lunch, we'll be back soon.
I had an early dinner over the weekend at this packed restaurant, which is always a good sign. My husband ordered the scampi and received a large plate full with no complaints. I opted for the lamb shank, which came with lovely and hot vegetables. Unfortunately, the meat was full of gristle (not the restaurant's fault) and the gravy was tasteless. Overall, it was a pretty good meal. The restaurant is not dog-friendly, but it was a good choice for an unplanned stop. The average price per person is £20-30. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated 5 out of 5, and there is plenty of parking available.
our first visit to this facility and we were not disappointed. I had a brain cake you put on many not find on the menu. it was absolutely delicious. my partner had a 12-oz sirloin I tried. that was beautiful and delicate, with a lot of taste. portion size was huge, so she couldn't finish it. I recommend definitiw.
Good to have a choice of light bites or larger portions on the daily special menu. These looked to be a fair price. Also, a good choice of food on the regular menu. The food was tasty and well cooked. The girls who served us were really friendly. I will visit again. Price per person: £20–30

Delicious food at a fantastic price. The roasts are exceptional. Food and service both receive a rating of 5, with the atmosphere coming in at a 4. Highly recommend trying the Roast Lamb.
