A return visit to The White Hart, friendly welcome on arrival, shown to our table quickly. Drinks order taken quickly shortly after our food order taken too. All happy with our food, when it came enjoyed Fish Chips, Crispy Chilly Beef Ham, Egg Chips. We thought nice to be sitting in the Conservatory, however there were also 2 tables with a large group of people on each it became so noisy we could not hear each other so would ask not to sit there again. Overall we enjoyed the evening but a bit more of warmth conversation from the Waiter would have been helpful
Excellent menu choice, staff attentive. Setting lovely. Very good experience overall. Definitely be back again. Went back again for my husband's birthday last night. Service was not good. First they let our table that we specifically booked 3 weeks ago. But to be fair they did sort it out eventually. Then they kept forgetting things or mishearing orders which was frustrating. It was a shame as the food was aa good as last time. Maybe it eas just an off night. Considering it was a Thursday it was absolutely full
This was for a family get together of 13 people. Sophie our waitress was brilliant, very attentive and cheery. Food was exquisite, portion sizes were filling and tasted delicious. Great food, great atmosphere...our waiter Patrick was wonderful and cheery. But the others could do with lessons on personality development. Some wore distinct scowls. The restaurant was very crowded but the service and food were excellent. The price per person is around £60–70. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Ham and Leek Pie, Hot Waffle Caramelised Banana, Crispy Beef Salad, and Chicken Pie and Mash.

We visited and only after our starters had been delivered were we informed that it would be another fifty minute wait for our food. Staff apology received but simply not good enough
