We ordered the Beef Roast, mixed Meats, and a Vegetarian Wellington at the restaurant. The food was served quickly and hot, with extra vegetable gravy. The beef was tasty, but the pork was lacking crackling. The Vegetarian Wellington was good, although a bit small, served with Yorkshire pudding which was a nice addition. The selection of vegetables was good, but the Cauliflower Cheese was lacking in cheese. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. However, there were too many dogs in the small back area with four tables, which may be an issue for those allergic to dogs. We counted five dogs in total.
Started with Leak and potato soup with crispy bread I had the chicken burger which was all wonderfully presented and very tasty. The rest of the party had different dishes but plenty for vegetarians. Service was attentive. Little did I realise the service was to improve even more after we left the pub. One of the party drove into a ditch and some of the staff saw. They came racing out to help and the chef new someone who was able to come round in their 4 wheel drive and pull us out. Thank you so much. You went well and beyond helping us. They wouldn't even accept any money.
Been a far few years since I’ve been to this pub and was pleasantly surprised who busy it was . Nice pub, pleasant staff good service. Just had a quick lunch which was soap and pate. Both very nice , not cheap! Did have to ask for more toast as I had a good portion of pate but not half enough toast to eat it with. Slightly disappointing, how much is bread !! Will return but only if we are passing.
I had Hunters chicken! Usually you get a nice big chicken breast with bacon cheese. I got 2 mini dry hard chicken fillets...just awful For £18 this is unacceptable. Table are squashed together you can touch the table next too you. Half the table was cleared. 20 minutes later the other half was cleared.

We enjoyed freshly prepared fish and chips and a prawn salad at this restaurant. The service was decent, and we were able to sit outside despite having made a reservation. This was our third visit and we would definitely return again. The staff provided a lovely welcome.
There was no coffee available on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the bathrooms had a strong odor. This establishment is the type where they don't have the items you request and then ask if it's acceptable. No, it's not.
We've been to the White Horse a few time for lunch both as a couple and a family of four. It really is a perfect little piece of England. Excellent food, a friendly atmosphere and truly idyllic surroundings. I simply love it!
Such lovely food and very reasonably priced in a very picturesque setting (obviously the weather helped at lot as we were able to eat in the sun in the beer garden would certainly go back again

Never had food so bad there was dog mess on the floor in the restaurant and my partner stepped in Dog urine, will not return, would not recommend to my worst enemy before they delete the review
What a find this was. Was so good I booked to come back in months time. The food was good, fresh local produce and cooked really well.
