The Woodman's Stroke

Fantastic authentic pub in superb Leicestershire village, a gem in a unique setting. Staff and owners are very friendly, The food is homely, served at lunch time only and is prepared and presented to a very good standard. The whole experience inside or out is quality, dogs are allowed outside with good parking facilities.

We sat outside for drinks on a rainy evening! Lovely covered outdoor area with patio heaters, the tables were well spaced out. The service was very smooth, the staff did a great job of ensuring everyone was served quickly and in a polite and friendly manner. Will definitely be back, thank you!

We didn’t eat as the pub doesn’t serve food in the evenings. Simon and his staff were as always very welcoming and efficient. The Vixen ale was superb and my wife enjoyed the white wine spritzer. We sat in n the patio area and the location gave a us a continental feel.
