This is an all-time favorite restaurant whenever we pass through this part of Florida. The Yearling is a part of Old Florida history, filled with curiosity’s, books, taxidermy, and the kind of food and service that evokes a simpler time. Occasionally, we travel with our tiny chihuahua and the restaurant always finds a way to accommodate us. Cindy, Lacey and the whole staff greeted us and accommodated us with such graciousness. The service and food was impeccable. Yes, we will return—time and time again. Thanks to everyone at The Yearling who makes each of our visits so very special.
This restaurant was really cool! I loved the atmosphere and the location. The vibes are really historic Florida, wild and swampy. The food was all right, not bad but not great. I don’t feel it’s worth its price. The service was okay, too, it seemed like they were short staffed and we had to ask for things that we ordered a few times to ensure that we got them. I definitely recommend coming here at least once for the experience!
It's like a museum. There's millions of old books and old artifacts to look at and it's not just about the yearling ,There are so many other things and different sections of the restaurant /museum I could have spent hours there just browsing around And reading old books. I could be there for days , beautiful drive and a very old town. Great experience
Absolutely loved this place. Great food, people were unbelievably friendly and proud of their place as well they should be. I can’t recommend the pork chop enough, it’s delicious. Leave yourself plenty of time to take a look at all the decor in this place that screams Old Florida.

Great place- must visit! The Yearling- Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings artifacts AND Really delicious food, amazing waitstaff, AND Live music performance!
Will never go again. I felt very isolated. Was ignored for about 20 minutes. Atmosphere felt very racist. They made me feel very uncomfortable.
Great food! I got frog legs, catfish and gator tail it was perfect. Super fun place, cool books, live music, good classic country Florida food.
Really neat place with great food and awesome service! Everybody was super friendly, I think the entire wait staff talked to us haha

We've been twice within the last 6 weeks and it was excellent both times. The shrimp is incredible and the catfish was really good
Always delicious food and the best atmosphere. Their cabins are great too!!
