Have visited a few times and it was fine. But this time, the last time we will be going, it had deteriorated. The first thing was the table. There was old dried food stuck on the table right in front of me, so I had to keep a napkin over it. There were grease marks and crumbs. Yuk! Looked like the table had been laid without being cleaned first. There is clearly no oversight from the owner and the staff are too lazy to care. Do they think we won't notice? They give a free starter of bread, dips and salad, as do most Turkish restaurants. We went as a group for a birthday meal. The food was well served and a good price. We chose a sharing platter as we were a group of six and this made sense. Unfortunately our meal was spoiled by another table who stared at us throughout the meal and made unpleasant comments to us. Seeing as this was a family meal and our table consisted of parents and our children this was a little disappointing. This was not the restaurants fault and the service was excellent and perhaps more an inditement on Southend. I don’t know! However this spoilt our enjoyment. I feel sorry for the restaurant as they really tried their best. I have given 4 stars as I am judging the food and service
I decided to try the Lamb Guvec because it sounded delicious, even though I wasn't sure what to expect. When it arrived, it looked like a flat piece of bread, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a tasty meal underneath. This is likely the traditional Turkish way of serving it. I would definitely recommend this dish, as well as the Whitebait I had as a starter, which was also delicious. The staff were polite and pleasant, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I would recommend paying a visit to this restaurant.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and was not let down. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival. In our group of three, two of us ordered the chicken kebab and the other ordered the lamb. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary warm bread dips and salad. The main dishes received unanimous praise for being delicious. My only suggestion would be to serve the plates warm, as the chicken had cooled by the end of the meal. However, we all agreed that we would definitely come back again.

We went here ad hoc on Saturday evening with a group of six guys without a booking. They welcomed us in and treated us like kings. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We had starters a beer and a main. There was loads of food on our plates and we had our fill. I had the halloumi to start and the mixed kebab for main. I highly recommend this place and ill be taking the significant other there too so a double recommendation
Really looked forward to trying the food here. Unfortunately wasn't blown away by either the food or the service. Starter of calamari was nice, Greek salad as main not so. Had to try several times to get attention to get 2nd drink, no further offers of drinks. Nobody asked if we wanted dessert. There was no atmosphere in the place at all. Very disappointed
My wife and I had visited this restaurant four times before, but this time we brought along her sister and brother-in-law. They absolutely loved it and we had a fantastic meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The service provided by the staff was excellent. I don't think you would be disappointed if you gave it a try. 5 stars!
I reviewed this when it first opened and gave it a rave review. Wow, how it has gone downhill. Dirty tables, seemingly untrained staff, over greasy food, zero ambience.

Always wanted to try this but looks quiet. I am glad I went it was very tasty food. Good lunch deal for £8.99 Plenty of choice for all and decent price.
